I saw an hour-long interview with all the jurors and alternates on Court TV. I was really quite impressed with the jury. It is my belief that given the same testimony and evidence, I might have come to the same conclusion. That is not to say that I think he is innocent, it is just to say that the prosecution probably did not meet the burden of proof.
If I was Jackson’s lawyer, I would tell him loud and clear, “NO MORE SLEEPOVERS!” If for no other reason, just because it isn’t worth the aggravation and expense.
Wouldn’t you imagine Michael already received that advice before the events that led to this trial? The prior settlement didn’t come cheap.
He probably did, but he isn’t inclined to listen to anybody who disagrees with him. Maybe — just maybe — this time he’ll listen. A few years back, Forbes estimates his net worth at somewhere between $500M and $1B. Now, he’s flat broke, and looking at a bankruptcy, if he doesn’t take his act on the road PRONTO!
